Wilkinstown Charity Run
A break from the norm with a breakfast run for the COVOC boys & girls. A bright clear and dry morning and in excess of 25 cars gathered at the Royal Tara Golf Club for a full Irish breakfast.
After a most enjoyable brekki with banter, craic and a good ol’ catch up off we headed on a 32 mile saunter. A circuitous routing took us through Slane, Tankardstown and Rathkenny ably planned and led by our very own John & Cepta Shepard in their bright orange Hillman Imp
Arriving at our final destination, the Community Centre in Wilkinstown we all registered and participated in a 5 KM charity walk to support Autism Ireland. Following the walk we partook of the local hospitality in the form of tea, coffee, sambos and fancy cakes.
Once again a big shout out to the organisers for a wonderful event thoroughly enjoyed by all.
