Well Spring has arrived and the COVOC guys & gals gathered in Kells to embark on a 35 mile “Rural Ramble” into the depths of the wild Co Cavan.
Leaving Kells we headed off on the back road through Oakley Park routing through the thriving metropolis of Mullagh and onwards to Bailieborough. Having left Mullagh in our rearview mirrors we meandered via the picturesque shores of Lough Acurry, passing through New Inn (bet y’all never noticed this bustling hive of activity) and on to sleepy Ballyjamesduff. Dreadful really, not a sign of Paddy Reilly there to greet our convoy as we screamed through at a barely subsonic rate of knots.
With the end of the run in sight we coasted into downtown Virginia where we feasted royally on the sumptuous cuisine of the Riverfront Hotel.
20 cars and 30+ souls all giving a big shout out to Maurice for a well organised gathering.
